Promised Exaltation (verses 14-16)
14“Because
he loves me,” says the Lord, “I
will rescue him;
I will
protect him, for he acknowledges my name.
15He will call on me, and I will answer him;
15He will call on me, and I will answer him;
I will
be with him in trouble,
I will deliver him and honor him.
16With long life I will satisfy him and show him my salvation.”
16With long life I will satisfy him and show him my salvation.”
The crowning
gifts of glory are seen in the face of our Lord Jesus Christ. In him we find
the fullness and depth of God’s redemption. Our relationship with God finds
expression in our communion with Him. God will reveal Himself in His love and
His glory to those who commit themselves to Him in trust.
Thank You,
exalted God, that You will deliver us and protect us. You will satisfy us and
show us Your salvation. Thank You that when we call to You, You answer us. Thank
You that You are with us in our troubles. Thank You for ultimately rescuing us
and honoring us.
Under His
wings I am safely abiding;
Though the
night deepens and tempests are wild,
Still I can
trust Him—I know He will keep me;
He has
redeemed me and I am His child.
