May we replace our anguish and fear with trust in God. While
God does not promise us prosperity, He has promised to take our burdens and
carry them for us. We do Him the greatest honor by casting our burdens on Him.
Trustworthy
God, we cast our cares on You. Thank You that You can and do sustain us. Do not
let us be shaken. Increase our faith as we trust in You.
What
a Friend we have in Jesus,
All our sins and
griefs to bear!
What
a privilege to carry
Everything to God
in prayer!
Oh,
what peace we often forfeit,
O what needless
pain we bear,
All
because we do not carry
Everything to God
in prayer!
Joseph Medlicott Scriven (1819-1886)
