May
this psalm drive us to the New Testament, where we find God’s Covenant
fulfilled. We can then beseech God for the mercy He promises.

God’s
covenant love for His people gives us a theme song that will never be out of
date. May our faith cause us to look beyond our circumstances to the One who has
all power in heaven and on earth. The more of His glories we see, the more
humbly we prostrate ourselves before His Majesty.
Lord God, we
will sing of Your steadfast love forever. We praise Your faithfulness in our
assemblies! You are mighty. The heavens are Yours; the world and all that is in
it. Righteousness and justice are Your foundation. Cause Your steadfast love
and faithfulness to go before us.
