Prayer Against Evil (verses 22-29)

The needy often find themselves scorned, ignored and falsely accused. Yet when they call to the Lord, He hears and will bless them. As we openly express our feelings of anger in prayer to God, He will heal our pain. Jesus did not call down judgment on his persecutors; instead he forgave and prayed for his enemies. We may find ourselves beaten down today, but God will ultimately raise us up to sit in heaven with Christ Jesus.

God our Judge, we turn to you in our anger at our enemies. Help us to leave vengeance and judgment to You. We feel afflicted and in pain. May Your salvation protect us.
