Tyrants on Trial (Psalm 58, Part 1)

Economic titans exercise increasingly tyrannical influence over our society. During this age of grace when God’s hand of judgment is delayed, He does not overlook the violence and oppression of our society. The supreme Judge will ultimately bring justice.

A Challenge: The tyrants addressed (verses 1-2)

We feel a sense of frustration when those responsible to ensure that righteous judgment prevails in the affairs of our society instead devise injustice and violence. Rather than defending justice they act out the injustice of their hearts, causing violence.

Sovereign God, we pray that our leaders and judges would judge people justly. Minimize the injustice and violence on Your good earth.
