God
has given us life on this earth with all its struggles so that as we grow
strong in Him we will share a joy in His house. May we take joy in exalting and
praising our gracious Lord God together.
God’s House (verses 1-4)
God’s
house is lovely because God is there. May Christ make his home in our hearts by
faith. Our home with God provides a place of security. There we can seek, find
and enjoy communion with the living God, screened from the noisy world. Because
doubts, fears, and unsettled questions cannot exist in God’s holy place, we can
praise God. May our total being express our desire for God.
O Lord Almighty,
we desire Your presence. Thank You that in Jesus Christ we can stand before You
in joyous awe. We pause before You now, knowing that You are present. Lord Almighty,
our King and our God, dwell in and rule our congregations. We long, O Lord, for Your eternal house, a
nest for our soul and our body.
