Worship the Lord (Psalm 96, Part 1)

This call for universal worship of God who will judge the earth celebrates the conversion of the nations: a great missionary hymn! May we sing this song of the new kingdom together with the entire world.

The King’s Glory: Sing to the Lord (verses 1-6)

1Sing to the Lord a new song;
         sing to the Lord, all the earth.
2Sing to the Lord, praise his name;
      proclaim his salvation day after day.
3Declare his glory among the nations,
         his marvelous deeds among all peoples.
4For great is the Lord and most worthy of praise;
he is to be feared above all gods.
5For all the gods of the nations are idols,
but the Lord made the heavens.
6Splendor and majesty are before him;
strength and glory are in his sanctuary.

May we dedicate our singing to the one and only Lord God and share our knowledge and experience of God with all nations and peoples. The entire created world is filled with God’s glory. All other deities are fakes because God alone made heaven and earth. May the nations acknowledge the true God, and accept Him as their Redeemer.

We sing a new song to You, Lord our glorious King. We sing to You with all the earth! We bless Your name! We declare Your glory, Your salvation and marvelous works among all the peoples. Great are You, Lord, and greatly to be praised. You made the heavens. Splendor and majesty, strength and beauty are before You. May all the nations bow before You and Your Anointed.
