Wings of shelter (verses 4-5)

In our times of trouble, may we dwell in the security of God’s tent and take refuge in the shelter of His wings. Although our residence with God lasts for all eternity, even now in our suffering we can enjoy God’s protective shelter.

Thank You, Sheltering God, that You have heard our vows. Thank You for the heritage of those who fear Your name. Increase the community of those who fear Your name in Jefferson County.

Prayer for protection (verses 6-7)

May we remember our political leaders in prayer. Jesus, enthroned in God’s presence, is our protection. God’s eternal love and immutable faithfulness provide for and preserve all who are in Him.

Sovereign God, may the leaders of our county, our state, and our nation, be enthroned in Your presence. Appoint Your love and faithfulness to protect each of them, and us.
