God our Delight (verses
5-8)
http://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=Psalm%2063:5-8&version=NIV
As we praise and delight in God, we feel spiritually satisfied.
God’s incarnate Son died that he might feed our souls. We are therefore invited
to eat his flesh, and drink his blood to help us remember him. May we engulf
ourselves in remembering God. May our meditations bring us comfort when
adversity haunts us. As we draw close to God, His wings overshadow us. As we
cling to God we will find in Him our only hope, and His hand will uphold us.
God our delight, with singing lips our
mouths praise You. On our beds we remember You. Because You are our help, we
sing in the shadow of Your wings. We cling to You; Your right hand upholds us.
