Deliverance from God (Psalm 71) Part 3

Praise for Deliverance (verses 19-24)

People around us worship the gods of money and entertainment. Having met God, though, nothing compares to the hope of being in His presence. God will not shelter us from every difficulty; yet we can be confident that He will deliver us. God will give us the strength we need to complete our life’s work. May this strength lead us to joyous praise to our faithful and righteous God.

God our righteousness, You have done great things. Thank You for restoring our lives. Increase our honor and comfort us. All praise to You our God. Our lips shout for joy when we sing praise to You—we, whom You have redeemed. Our tongues tell of Your righteous acts all day long.

My hope is built on nothing less
Than Jesus’ blood and righteousness;
I dare not trust the sweetest frame,
But wholly lean on Jesus’ name.
      On Christ, the solid rock, I stand;
      All other ground is sinking sand.

Edward Mote (1797-1874)
